(The dates/times on the make up schedule are the same for meeting at the park OR on Zoom.)
Tomorrow we will be performing "Hello, Broadway" as rehearsed. However, we have to change locations to a different, but nearby park. We are doing the best we can working around COVID, weather, park permits, etc. Due to an all-day event being held all day at 50 Acre Park on Wednesday, August 19, we were NOT be able to secure a permit from the Evergreen Park Park District to reserve the pavilion for tomorrow. Therefore, we are moving the location for that day as follows:
- Classes: Monday and Wednesday classes only
- New Location: Yukich Park at 8900 S Kedzie Avenue
- Area of Performance: Outdoor hockey arena (enter from Kedzie Ave and drive to the south end of the parking lot near the fire station)
- Schedule: We will meet at the SAME times as last week according to the 2020 Performances for Monday and Wednesday Classes
The following classes will make up one
- Ms Shannon's Beginning Modern and Modern 1 classes from Monday
- Ms April's PB-2, Minis, and Ballet-1 classes from Monday
- Ms Shannon's PB-3 and Ballet 1 classes from Wednesday
- Ms April's PB-1 and Jazz 1 classes from Wednesday
- Ms April's Beginning Jazz and Ballet 1 from Thursday
Since we can safely return to in-person performances, we are offering students the option to participate in their final performance at 50 Acre Park or live from the park on Zoom. We realize there were many last-minute decisions, but we want to keep everyone safe while still giving our students the opportunity to perform in the most memorable "stage" setting as possible. Therefore, we are giving families two options -- to perform outdoors or on Zoom.
Please confirm through this email link OR text at 708-658-6165 (include child's name and class) if your student will be performing in the park, on Zoom, or not at all. (If you have already sent a confirmation, please do not confirm a second time.)
These are the two options for the final performance:
OUTDOOR AT PARK
- WEDNESDAY -- Perform at Yukich Park at 8900 S Kedzie Avenue, Evergreen Park (THIS IS A DIFFERENT LOCATION)
- ALL dancers MUST wear masks.
- We are asking ALL family members to wear masks while they are in the audience watching the performance. We know this is not required by the State of Illinois, but we are strongly urging our families to help us be extra cautious for the sake of everyone. Thanks!
- Please bring your own chairs/blankets.
ZOOM (live at the Park)
If you will not be performing in the park, you can click this link for the 2020 Performance Schedule for August 19. You will be linked to the live performance in the park. Please record your child as she performs the dance.
- Wear full costume, shoes, hair
- Use any recording device to record your child as he/she performs at your home. The camera/phone should be propped and not hand-held.
- When the dancers reach their hands above their head, the video frame should include both their feet and fingertips in the frame.
- Do not worry about background noises or sound quality, We will have the original track laid over the video.
- Please try to find a background that is as plain as possible.
